The Human Resource Store Fair Market Value
The human resource market is like the weather. As it changes, you need to change to be appropriate and comfortable. When hiring, you need to adjust your human resource strategy to fit today's market. Just as the housing market dictates the price of a home, the human resource market dictates the salary you must offer to find an employee. One way to test the market is to call on similar ads in your area to check the salary range and to verify first-hand the realistic fair market value of your position.

The assessment of your position's fair market value must take into account all of your expectations. Thus, the more hidden requirements you have, such as personality type, the more you must be willing to pay. When assessing a present employee's fair market value, you also need to include the replacement value. This includes the cost of advertising, recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training a new person, as well as the incumbent's loyalty factor.
